We know that most people rely on GPS systems and online maps to find their way around but not all technology is properly updated. We continue to get more and more calls from guests who are lost so below are some easy to follow directions and tips for your devices. The easiest and shortest routes to us and the local attractions are not always shown online so please feel free to ask us for directions.
GPS SYSTEMS
Our correct mailing address is above but many GPS systems and online maps do not show the proper location. Your map should show us at the corner of Rt. 9 (Saratoga Rd.) and Ernst Road. If you see us anywhere else please try this alternate address:

Note – Ernst Rd. meets Rt. 9 (Saratoga Rd.) at 2 intersections. We are located on the NORTH corner.
DIRECTIONS TO SARATOGA RACE COURSE FROM McGREGOR INN MOTEL
Rt 9/Marion Ave south to Excelsior (Marion ave ends at Excelsior)
Turn right onto Excelsior to East Ave (first light)
Turn left onto East Ave and continue to Union Ave and front gate of track.
This route is just 7.2 miles while some online systems will give you an alternate route that is over 14 miles to Saratoga Race Course.
DIRECTIONS FROM ALBANY, N.Y. TO McGREGOR INN MOTEL
I87 North to Exit 16
Left off ramp at Ballard Road, travel approximately 2 miles to Rt. 9
Left at Rt. 9 south, travel approximately 3/4 mile to McGregor Inn Motel on the left.
We will give you easy to follow directions to Downtown Saratoga Springs or Lake George when you check in.
DIRECTIONS FROM DOWNTOWN SARATOGA SPRINGS TO McGREGOR INN MOTEL
Follow Broadway (Rt. 9 & 50 North) onto 4 lane highway where Broadway ends
At 3rd traffic light turn left at Rt. 9 North
Continue approximately 5 miles to McGregor Inn Motel on your right.
Some landmarks you will pass along the way are Nove, The Wishing Well and finally Winslows. These will all be on your left and McGregor Inn Motel will be about 3/4 mile north of Winlows. If you pass Winslows and come to a traffic light, you have missed us by about 3/4 mile.
Note – Do NOT follow signs for 9N. This is the scenic route to Lake George and while it’s a beautiful drive and will eventually hit Rt. 9 you will officially be lost. Always look for 9 North not 9N.
